Jenny & Dave were both born and raised in Carlisle and played soccer from a young age which continued through their time as students at Carlisle High School. Dave graduated with an economics degree from Penn State University and played club soccer during his time there. Jenny went on to play at Gettysburg College. In her senior year at Gettysburg her team won the Centennial Conference and went on to play in the NCAA tournament. She was a team captain and made the All-Conference, All-Region and All-American teams as an outside midfielder. Since then she has had experience assistant coaching in soccer at the JV and Varsity girls high school levels.
Outside of coaching, Jenny is a stay-at-home mom who loves anything active, anything outdoors, and traveling to new places, especially if she can bring her dog along with her. Dave has enjoyed building, leading, and more recently mentoring and coaching leadership teams in the business world. He is passionate about coaching, encouraging, and developing people whether it’s in a corporate environment with grown ups, or out on the soccer field with the Hustle team. Both Jenny and Dave value their relationship with God and their local church, as well as pouring into the Carlisle community.
For the Hustle coaches, soccer is a family affair. Fun, casual backyard soccer has instilled a love for the game in their 3 boys. While it is their oldest son who is on the Hustle team, it is not uncommon for all 3 boys to be at the soccer fields for Hustle practices – playing with the team, helping to set up equipment, helping to retrieve balls and providing comical commentating. Their hope is that being part of the Hustle team provides a really positive environment for the players to develop skills that go beyond the game (hard work, team work, discipline, patience and good sportsmanship and character), while getting to play a lot of fun soccer in the process.
